
Two suspects have been arrested over the recent shooting incident
allegedly targeting underworld figure ‘Dematagoda Chaminda’ while he was
being transported in a prison bus, police sources told Ada Derana.
Chaminda, an accused in the murder of former Presidential Advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, was injured after an unidentified gunman had opened fire at the prison bus on March 02.
Dematagoda Chaminda and several other prisoners were returning to Welikada prison from the court when the gunman had fired at the bus.
