Government has decided to declare 26th of October as the Inventors' Day.
The proposal made by Minister of
Science, Technology and Research Susil Premajayantha, to declare 26th of
October which is the birthday of Deshabandu Dr. A N S Kulasinghe,
Eminent Civil Engineer,
Inventor, the 1st Commissioner of the Inventors'
Commission and the founder of several engineering organizations as the
National Inventors' Day, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
