Sri Lanka Navy acting on a tipoff arrested seven fishermen engaged in illegal harvesting of sea cucumbers in the seas off Nachchikuda on Monday (14th March).
Along with the suspects a Fiber Glass Dinghy and 80 kg of sea cucumbers were apprehended.
The suspects and their equipment were produced to the officials of the Assistant Directorate of Fisheries, Kilinochchi for investigations and necessary action.
