Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) announced Monday (March 28) that it has signed an agreement with Sri Lanka to lend Rs. 56 billion (US$ 400 million) to expand the country's main international airport in Colombo, according to a statement released by JICA.

Mar 28, Colombo: Sri Lanka's budget carrier Mihin Lanka will begin operating daily flights on the Muscat-Colombo route from Monday providing enhanced connectivity to South Asia and the Far East.



Mihin Lanka launched service on the Muscat-Colombo sector from October 25 last year after its sister airline, SriLankan Airlines ceased operations on the route.
