Refurbished water pumps at Tissa Wewa reinstalled

Refurbished water pumps were installed at Tissa Wewa on Friday (18th March) with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Navy.

These three water pumps were used in a water purification centre in Anuradhapura before. A water pump of this nature weighs around 200 kilograms and they needed to be replaced 20m away from the bank and at a depth of 3m from water level for operation.

Water requirement in the area will be restored after this.
