Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) marking its 49th anniversary donated equipment to the National Institute for Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation in Colombo.


The event took place on Friday (1st April) at the National Institute for Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation under the patronage of the Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media
Gayantha Karunathilake.


Two refrigerators, dustbins, office tables, and the office equipment were among the donations.


Minister addressing the occasion said that he believe media could do more social services.


Sri Lanka started the first radio in Asia almost 91 years ago.


Dep. Director General of the National Hospital Dr.Anil Jayasinghe and Chairman of the SLBC Nanda Muruththettuwegama were also present at the occasion.
