Trains limited to single track on coastal-line

Trains on the costal line between Colombo Fort and Mount Lavinia will operate on a single track from the 18th to the 22nd of this month.

Railways Transport Superintendent Vijaya Samarasinghe said that this measure has been taken as it is planned to put up a new bridge on the rail track between Colombo Fort and Mount Lavinia. However, the Department of Railways emphasized that the operation of any trains will not be cancelled.
